HTML books are considered to consist of only a single file. You can tell Freda what encoding it should be using for a particular book by using the Settings screen. This means that the first time you open a book, you must have network connectivity, but after that the book will be held in the machine's memory, so you will not need network access to continue reading it. Some offer free e-book copies from a selection of online sources.
